Master of my Own Masters

Earlier this year, I decided to start an online Master's program. I interviewed co-workers, consulted with managers and even researched various options online. After several weeks, I finally signed up for classes at Capella University. I liked this school because Capella has an online masters program, their classes looked more interesting than the competitors and the price was about the same.

Right now, I am about 1/3 the way through my first class, Technical Communications. This class is 1 part, introduction to using the Capella resources, and 2 parts reminder on good communications technique. The biggest shock, so far, has been the class load. I have not taken classes for 10 years, so writing a 1 page paper each week is a bit of a surprise. The TiVo is holding on to a few shows I haven't gotten to watch yet. My latest paperback is gathering dust at the office, and projects at work are going a little slower. Good thing is, that I can attend class after everyone has gone to bed.
